State-owned fuel firms benchmark retail rates to Arab-Gulf international oil prices and a formula decides them, the IOC chairman said, adding that demand dropped drastically in the aftermath of lockdowns imposed across the globe to curb spread of coronavirus, sending oil prices plunging to multi-year low.

This included oil futures falling below zero on one day in US trading. Reducing prices in line with that fall was not “sustainable” as cracks - the difference between crude oil (raw material) and petroleum product (finished goods) prices - were running negative, he said.

गुरतेज की दास्ताँ सुनेंगे तो सीना फक्र से चौड़ा हो जाएगा

The Chinese don’t like the Sikhs, their war cry ‘Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akal’ (which means one will be blessed eternally who says that God is the ultimate truth) frightens them. Their huge frames with long hair and beard frightens the clean shaven slick looking Chinese.

  

On the night of 15th-16th June, 2020, the 16th Bihar Regiment troops faced a murderous and treacherous unprovoked Chinese assault, taking heavy casualties. They found critical support from the gunners of the 3 Punjab's Ghatak Platoon.

The valiant Khalsas launched a barehanded counter-attack with their trademark blood curling war cries about an hour after the Bihar Regiment troops had got embroiled in the savage hand-to-hand combat. They had to fight with sticks, bare hands, rocks and with weapons snatched from the Chinese soldiers.

 

The Sikhs went straight for the jugular, attacking a ‘senior looking officer' protected by six Chinese guards.

“They killed all the six guards and dragged the senior officer by the scruff of his neck in a bloody fight lasting for 30 minutes,” said an eye-witness of the 16th Bihar Regiment. "They fought like men possessed, smashing Chinese heads with rocks and slashing them with swords snatched from the Chinese.” 

Other Chinese troops in the vicinity fled or stayed away, in sheer fright. Two Sikh gunners died when struck by swords but one of them strangled a Chinese to death in the squeeze of his massive biceps , all along shouting ‘Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akal.”

 

 Among them was 3 Punjab's Ghatak Platoon's, Gurtej Singh. He fought against all the odds and despite losing his own life for it, took down 12 Chinese soldiers. The Medium Arty regiment's Sikh gunners rushed out to help to carry their customary kirpan and an assortment of sticks, rods and sharp knives only.

Sources from the military state that four Chinese soldiers attacked Singh. He swung around two of them, and as two others tried to pin him down, he dragged all four of them towards the cliff and flung them over. He lost his balance though and slipped. But he got stuck in a boulder that stopped his free fall.

Though he was injured severely in the neck and head, he rewrapped his turban and pulled himself back to the fight. He used his kirpan to fight more soldiers until he could snatch a sharp weapon from a Chinese soldier. He further took down seven Chinese soldiers making the tally to 11 before one stabbed him from behind. But before going down, he killed his final 12th enemy with his kirpan too.

International Commercial Passenger Services to/from India shall remain Suspended till July 15, 2020

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation said the restriction will not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA. However, it said that international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on case to case basis.

 

"The competent authority has decided that scheduled international commercial passenger services to/from India shall remain suspended till 2359 hours IST of 15th July 2020. This restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA. However, international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on case to case basis," the official note read.

 

Earlier this week, Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had said India was considering travel requests from several countries. He said India was also looking at the possibility of establishing individual "bilateral bubbles" like between India-US, India-France, India-Germany, India-UK. This month, Puri had said international travel would be opened once India's domestic traffic reaches about 50% and other countries open up to international traffic without present conditionalities.

In March 2020, it became obvious that international flights in India will not operate anytime soon. Since then, Air India has been operating repatriation flights and people have been literally paying crazy money all the tickets they can for their emergency to fly back home. In the meanwhile, other countries such as the USA have now started indicating their displeasure with Vande Bharat flights.

The sandwich company "Pret A Manger" is now struggling to pay its rent

The chief executive added sales were running at less than 20 per cent of normal levels.

He said the company made an effort to reduce its costs - including executive pay cuts - but it did not have enough funds to pay its rent in full.

 

The company said it will only pay 30 per cent of its rent as it battles losses of "tens of millions of pounds" each month because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

  

The sandwich company is now struggling to pay its rent after being hit by the lockdown.

Pret - which has most of its branches near offices and airports - is worth £1.5billion.

Pret a Manger can only pay a third of its next rent bills after the coronavirus lockdown made sales decline, it has been reported.

भारतीय रेलवे ने गुरुवार, 25 जून 2020 को कहा कि वह 1 जुलाई से 12 अगस्त के बीच नियमित ट्रेनों के लिए बुक किए गए सभी टिकटों को वापस कर देगा क्योंकि देश में कोरोनोवायरस के मामले मार्च में एक महीने बाद सरकार ने शुरू कर दिए थे। रेलवे ने कहा कि मई और जून में केवल विशेष ट्रेनें चलेंगी।

1. Isolate yourself from news about the virus. (Everything we need to know, we already know).

2. Don't look out for death toll. It's not a cricket match to know the latest score. Avoid that.

 

3. Don't look for additional information on the Internet, it would weaken your mental state.

4.Avoid sending fatalistic messages. Some people don't have the same mental strength as you (Instead of helping, you could activate pathologies such as depression).

5. If possible, listen to music at home at a pleasant volume. Look for board games to entertain children, tell stories and future plans.

6. Maintain discipline in the home by washing your hands, putting up a sign or alarm for everyone in the house.

 

7. Your positive mood will help protect your immune system, while negative thoughts have been shown to depress your immune system and make it weak against viruses.

8. Most importantly, firmly believe that this shall also pass and we will be safe.... !

Highest new coronavirus cases reported in California, in a day: More than 6,000

In Los Angeles County, officials on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 reported more than 2,000 new cases for the fourth time in the last week, bringing the total number of infections to more than 88,200. Officials also reported 34 additional deaths, increasing the death toll to 3,171 — the bulk of the state's total.

 

In San Diego County, officials reported more than 300 new cases for the second day in a row after breaking a record with more than 310 cases Sunday.

In Riverside County, which has the second-highest number of cases in the state, public health officials have reported 4,001 new cases in 14 days. Although the metric fails to meet Gov. Gavin Newsom's standard for reopening, the county voted last month to approve a "Readiness and Reopening Framework" that outlines alternative benchmarks toward reopening.

 

Officials have repeatedly warned that they expect transmission rates to increase as more businesses reopen and people resume normal activities after months-long stay-at-home orders.

(ਗ਼ਾਫ਼ਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਆਲਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਭੈੜੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗ਼ਾਫ਼ਲ ਦਾ ਪੈਰ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਮੌਤ ਆ ਦਬੋਚਦੀ ਹੈ)।ਧਰਮ ਕਮਾਣ ਵਲੋਂ ਢਿੱਲ ਨਾਹ ਕਰਨੀ, ਪਾਪਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਢਿੱਲ ਕਰਨੀ, ਨਾਮ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ) ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਭ ਤਿਆਗਣਾ, ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨਾ = ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਲੱਛਣ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

 

(गाफल मनुष्य) अच्छे कामों में आलस करता है और बुरे कामों में शेर होता है; पर, हे नानक! गाफल का पैर जल्दी ही मौत की फाही में आ जाता है (भाव, मौत आ दबोचती है)।धर्म कमाने में ढील ना करनी, पाप करने में विलम्ब करना, नाम (हृदय में) दृढ़ करना और लोभ त्यागना, संतों की शरण जा के पापों का नाश करना- हे नानक! धर्म के ये लक्षण उस मनुष्य को प्राप्त होते हैं जिस पर परमात्मा मेहर करता है।

(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਦਿਲ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਦੁੱਖ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਅਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ, ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਹ ਤੇ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਹ, ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਪੂਜ (ਭਾਵ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਭੈੜੀ ਮੱਤ (ਰੂਪ 'ਬਿਰਥਾ') ਸੜ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਔਖਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤਰ ਜਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ।(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰੋ, ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਡਰ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰੋਗੇ, ਗੁਰੂ (ਗੁਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਸੱਖਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ (ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਨਕਾ-ਨਕ ਭਰ ਕੇ ਇਕ ਪਲਕ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜੇ) ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿਚ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਧੁਰੋਂ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਹੋਵੇ।

 

(हे भाई!) दिल का जो दुख हो वह अपने सतिगुरू के आगे विनती कर, अपनी सारी चतुराई छोड़ दे और मन तन गुरू के हवाले कर दे। सतिगुरू के पैर पूज (भाव, गुरू का आसरा ले, इस तरह) बुरी मति (रूपी 'व्यथा) जल जाती है, गुरमुखों की संगति में ये मुश्किल संसार समुंद्र तैर जाते हैं।(हे भाई!) गुरू के बताए हुए राह पर चलो, परलोक में डर-डर के नहीं मरोगे, गुरू (गुणों से) विहीन बंदों को (गुणों से) नाको-नाक भर के एक पल में निहाल कर देता है, (गुरू के द्वारा अगर) सदा प्रभू को सिमरें तो मन को संतोष आता है। पर, गुरू की बताई सेवा में वही मनुष्य लगता है जिस पर धुर से बख्शिश हो।

1. Mom carries for 9 months, dad carries for 25 years, both are equal, still don't know why dad is lagging behind...?

2. Mother works without pay for the family, dad spends all his pay for the family.Both their efforts are equal, still don't know why dad is lagging behind...?😫

 

3. Mom cooks whatever you want, dad buys whatever you want, both their love is equal, but mom's love is shown as superior. Don't know why dad is lagging behind...?🙁

4. When you talk over the phone, you want to talk to mom first, if you get hurt, you cry 'mom'. You will only remember dad when you need him, but did dad ever feel bad that you don't remember him the other times..? When it comes to receiving love from children, for generations, we see that dad is always lagging.😟

 

5. Almari will be filled with colorful sarees and many clothes for kids but dad's clothes are very few, he doesn't care about his own needs, still don't know why dad is lagging behind..?🤔

6.  Mom has many gold ornaments, but dad has only one dhoti with gold color border.😔

8. Mom says, we need to pay college tuition this month, please don't buy a saree for me for the festival. When children enjoy their favourite dish and don't leave anything for dad, he just eats rice with pickle that day. Both their love is equal, still don't know why dad is lagging behind.🤔

9. When parents become old, children say, mom is at least useful in taking care of household chores, but they say, Dad is useless.😔

Dad is behind 

(or 'at the back' ) because he is the backbone for the family... Because of him, we are able to stand erect...

(हे मन! एक प्रभू के दर पर यूँ कह– हे प्रभू!) अगर तू मुझे राज (भी) दे दे, तो किसी तरह बड़ा नहीं हो जाऊँगा और अगर तू मुझे कंगाल कर दे, तो मेरा कुछ घट नहीं जाना। (हे प्रभू!) सारी सृष्टि तूने स्वयं ही पैदा की है और भरमों में गलत रास्ते पर डाली हुई है, जिस जीव को तू खुद मति देता है उसे ही सद्-बुद्धि आती है।
