US has not approved India's request for vaccine components citing domestic priorities of their own country. Responding to journalists, the US State Department spokesperson said, "we have a special responsibility to the American people". India's Foreign minister, S Jai Shankar has held a couple of rounds of discussions with his American counterpart Anthony Blinken on the easing of the US export embargo.
