The impact of the coronavirus pandemic means that the Queen is "highly likely" never to step back into Buckingham Palace again. The news has "devastated" the Queen, who has spent her life living in Buckingham Palace during her long-serving reign as monarch. The Queen and Prince Philip have been staying at Windsor Castle since relocating from Buckingham Palace and the Sandringham estate on March 19.

(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ) ਜਗਤ (ਹਉਮੈ ਦੀ) ਕੈਦ ਵਿਚ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਕੈਦ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦ ਉਹੀ ਹਨ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਇਸ) ਹਉਮੈ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਉਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਿੱਤ-ਆਚਰਨ ਉਸ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੈ, ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੇਹੜਾ (ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੀ) ਵਿਚਾਰਵਾਨ ਭੀ ਹੈ, (ਪਰ) ਇਹ ਉੱਚਾ ਆਚਰਨ ਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕਦੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ।



(हे भाई! उस सदा स्थिर प्रभु को विसार के) जगत (अहंकार की) कैद में है, इस कैद में से आजाद वही हैं (जिन्होंने गुरु की शरण पड़ के इस) अहंकार को मारा है। जगत में ज्ञानवान कोई विरला वही है, जिसका नित्य आचरण उस ज्ञान के अनुसार है, जगत में पण्डित भी कोई विरला ही है जो (विद्या के अनुसार ही) विचारवान भी है, (पर) ये ऊँचा आचरण और ऊँचे विचार गुरु से ही मिलते हैं। गुरु को मिले बिना सारी सृष्टि अहंकार में भटकती फिरती है।

ਗੁਰੂ ਗਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਦਸ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅੰਤਮ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂਸੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਜੀਵਿਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ। ਆਦਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ, ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਤਰਜਮਾ, ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ (1563–1606) ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੰਕਲਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਦਸਵੇਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ, ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੋਈ ਬਾਣੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ; ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਇਸਨੇ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ, ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ 115 ਬਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਦਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਇਸ ਪਾਠ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹ ਦੂਜਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਗਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਆਦਿ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Guru Granth Sahib is the central religious scripture of Sikhism, regarded by Sikhs as the final, sovereign and eternal living Guru following the lineage of the ten human gurus of the religion. The Adi Granth, its first rendition, was compiled by the fifth Guru, Guru Arjan Dev (1563–1606). Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, did not add any of his own hymns; however, he added all 115 hymns of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, to the Adi Granth and affirmed the text as his successor. This second rendition became known as Guru Granth Sahib and is sometimes also referred to as Adi Granth.
