On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, morning the Centre said 3,293 people died in the past 24 hours after being infected by the COVID-19 virus. In Delhi, the national capital, 381 people died in that time. AN Yadav, 70, was one of those people. Mr Yadav died at his home in the city's Ranibagh area, his family consisted of a wife, who is also infected, and a young daughter, who told NDTV she'd tried desperately, and failed, to have her father admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Madhya Pradesh, India: Couple Gets Married In PPE Kits After Groom Tests Covid Positive

A couple in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam got married in PPE kits after the groom tested positive for Covid-19. Both the bride as well as the groom took the pheras as mantras were chanted by a pandit in the backdrop. Around three people were present during their wedding ceremony, all dressed in full protective suits.


Navin Garg, the Tehsildar of Ratlam, said, "The groom tested positive on April 19. We came here to stop the wedding but on request and guidance of senior officials, the wedding was solemnized. The couple was made to wear PPE kits so that the infection doesn't spread."
