Today's extract from Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਦਾਤਾਰ ਨੇ (ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਇਹ) ਦਾਤਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ (ਇਥੇ) ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਦਰ-ਮਾਣ ਪਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ
हे भाई! दातार ने (नाम की ये) दाति अपने हाथ में रखी हुई है, जिसे चाहता है उसे दे देता है। हे नानक! जो मनुष्य प्रभू के नाम-रंग में रंगे जाते हैं, वह (यहाँ) सुख पाते हैं, परमात्मा की हजूरी में भी वही मनुष्य आदर मान पाते हैं।
