Today's extract from Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji

ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਏ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਉੱਚੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਜਾਗ੍ਰਤ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਭਾਵ, ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚ ਸੁੱਤਾ ਮਨ ਜਾਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ਸਾਰੇ ਭਵਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਝੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਸੱਟਾਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਦਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਸੰਸਾਰਕ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਬਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੇ) , ਅਤੇ ਜਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਹ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) । ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ, ਜੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ, ਇੱਡਾ (ਉੱਚਾ) ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਭੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ) , ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਲਏ।

यदि मनुष्य के मन में प्रभू के नाम की लगन लग जाए, तो उसकी सुरति ऊँची हो जाती है, उसके मन में जागृति आ जाती है (भाव, माया में सोया मनुष्य जाग जाता है) सभी भवनों/लोकों की उसको समझ आ जाती है (कि हर जगह ईश्वर व्यापक है)। वह मनुष्य (संसार के विकारों की) चोटें मुँह पे नहीं खाता (अर्थात, सांसारिक विकार उस पर दबाव नहीं डाल सकते) और यमों से उसका वास्ता नहीं पड़ता (भाव, वह जन्म-मृत्यु के चक्कर में से बच जाता है)। अकाल-पुरख का नाम जो माया के प्रभाव से परे है इतना (ऊँचा) है (कि इस में जुड़ने वाला भी उच्च आत्मिक अवस्था वाला हो जाता है, पर ये बात तभी समझ में आती है) जब कोई मनुष्य अपने मन में हरि नाम की लगन पैदा कर ले।

Self Reliant India Scheme - on a lighter side

A few days back, the Finance Minister of India explained the details of the package of ₹20 lakh crore economic stimulus package. The main motive behind this initiative is to make India self-reliant. However, how far we can attain this remains to be seen.

The Atmnirbhar Bharat Yojana aims to bring relief to various sectors that are affected by the COVID-19. The Government's Package aims to bring fiscal relief that may be considered as 1.1% of GDP. They have also allowed most states to increase borrowing to 0.50% of the Gross State Domestic Product. Thus, the main aim of this package is to bring new reforms in agriculture and public sector enterprises.

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਜੀਵ ਜਾਣ ਬੁੱਝ ਕੇ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ (ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ) । ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰਾਹ) ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ।

हे भाई! कोई भी जीव जान-बूझ के गलत राह पर नहीं पड़ता (जीव के वश की बात नहीं)। वही मनुष्य कुमार्ग पर पड़ता है जिसको परमात्मा स्वयं कुमार्ग पर डालता है। वही मनुष्य (सही जीवन राह को) समझता है, जिसको परमात्मा स्वयं समझ बख्शता है।
