China contributed 70% of global exports for Christmas tree lighting sets and 90% for other Christmas decorations, excluding candles and natural trees, in 2022. Same year, China was the leading exporting country of Christmas decorations globally, with exports of such articles amounting to over 9.7 billion U.S. dollars. China, Mexico and Cambodia are also on the list of countries that "dominate" the global market and supply chain for Christmas decorative items, in which shipment to the US is worth billions of dollars.

In 2024, a Supercomputer That Can Replicate the Whole Human Brain Will Turn ON

Next year, in Australia, a supercomputer that can fully simulate a human brain's synapses will come online in an effort to learn more about how our brains handle vast amounts of data while using comparatively little power.

DeepSouth, a neuromorphic supercomputer, is expected to have a synaptic operation rate of 228 trillion per second, which is comparable to the estimated amount of operations in an adult human brain.
